The Organisers: David Loosemore and Huw Edwards

David Loosemore is better known for his work in the residential property sector having won numerous Welsh and UK awards including Residential Developer of the Year. David has a very personal connection with Ty Hafan. His beautiful daughter Isabella was diagnosed at age 8 months with a rare, life-limiting brain disorder. He and his wife, Ruth, were told Isabella would not live past the age of 3.

Now aged 10, Isabella has benefited greatly from the help of Ty Hafan. She often stays at the hospice and is given the most wonderful care. David and Ruth know the future remains uncertain for Isabella but that each day is so very precious.

Huw Edwards is also well known on the Cardiff property scene through his development work and recent involvement with Maison lettings. His background, however, is in hospitality. Huw ran numerous Cardiff bars and restaurants including Bar Essential and Inncognito.

Huw and David are friends from school days, and Huw has known Isabella since she was born. He’s seen the challenges David and Ruth face daily and also the incredible support Ty Hafan offer them and their family.
David and Huw wanted to do something to help other families and their life-limited children through the work of Ty Hafan. The idea for Chefs’ Night Out came from a similar event held in London and organised by Chris Corbin; the man who turned The Ivy, Le Caprice, J Sheekey and The Wolseley into London’s hottest eateries.

David and Huw would like to thank Chris for his support and advice in establishing Chefs’ Night Out.
