David started his career in Cardiff at the age of 21 but was soon drawn to London to work for Marco Pierre White at The Criterion. He then moved on to work under Michel Roux Jr at the legendary three Michelin star Le Gavroche. David returned to Cardiff to work at Holm House in Penarth before joining James Sommerin at the Crown at Whitebrook.
David has recently taken on the position as Executive Chef of the Chameleon Group in Cardiff. The group includes award winning destinations such as The Mocha Bar and The North Star. The Potted Pig is a more recent addition to this stable and has already established itself as Cardiff’s best restaurant on Trip Advisor. With further expansion plans soon to be announced, David is enjoying this dynamic and challenging role.
