One of Wales’ most acclaimed chefs, James Sommerin is Executive Head Chef at The Crown at Whitebrook and the three AA Rosette Crown at Celtic Manor. Famed for creating dishes of sublime intensity using excellent seasonal local produce with a French influence, James secured a Michelin star in 2007 which he has retained for the past five years.
The Crown at Whitebrook was named Best Restaurant in Wales and awarded Gold in the True Taste Awards 2009/10 and placed 30th in the top 60 restaurants in The Which Good Food Guide 2011 with a 7/10 rating.
