Kurt’s career started at London’s Savoy Hotel before moving to Miskin Manor in the Vale. Under his lead, the restaurant gained two AA rosettes. Moving to a country house hotel at Llansantffraed, Kurt again achieved two rosettes and his skill in the kitchen was instrumental when the Bell Inn at Skenfrith was named Michelin pub of the Year 2007.
As a member of the Wales Culinary Team, his creativity has taken him around the world and enabled him to cook for The Royal Family amongst others. As Head Chef at ffresh at Wales Millennium Centre, Kurt creates menus full of seasonal and locally-sourced produce in partnership with Michelin Starred chef Shaun Hill. ffresh is a new entrant in the Good Food Guide 2012 and is the first restaurant to be accredited a Wales The True Taste partner.
